Included page "clone:joepedia" does not exist (create it now) This is a wiki dedicated to the lore surrounding Joseph Anderson's Twitch streams. Joseph Anderson is a YouTuber and streamer. On his YouTube channel[1] he makes critiques of video games, and on his Twitch channel[2] he streams himself playing video games. VoDs of his streams can be found on his second YouTube channel.[3] A full list of all of Joe's streams and videos and links to them can be found on the stream index. For streams that haven't been uploaded to Joe's second channel, there are links to NodjaTube[4], which is managed by Nodja, where all VoDs also get uploaded. Joe also has a Discord server[5] (Joseph Anderson Discord Server, or just JADS for short). In streams when he mentions something called "Dragon's Den", he is referring to the channel by that name in JADS, which acts as a second live chat during streams. JADS was crucial in deciding the next several games which Joe will stream, in an event referred to as The Voting Game. A webpage exists for tracking his progress through the voted games and how he's received them.[6] In emotes and fanart, Joe is depicted as a red anthropomorphic dragon. This is because the profile picture for his YouTube and Twitch channels is an illustration of a dragon which was used on the cover of one of his books. Since he doesn't show his face in his streams, fan artists took inspiration from his profile picture when depicting him in fanart. Joe's streams have a large weeb following, despite the fact that Joe is not a weeb. This was caused by a combination of two things: First, when he streamed Undertale, he had a memorable moment where he accidentally selected a dialogue option saying that he liked anime.[7] And secondly, he decided to stream Xenoblade Chronicles 2 the day it came out without realising that it was aggressively anime. Both of these things happened not long after Joe had started streaming, making it so that the foundation of his audience were weebs who enjoyed watching Joe rag on the games they loved. And then they encouraged him to stream other weeb games like Persona 5 and Danganronpa, causing a snowball effect with respect to the size of his weeb audience. This audience that Joe unintentionally garnered creates an interesting ironic weeb dynamic which can be seen in many of the inside jokes in his community, such as the creation of "chans" (see below). In the same vein, one important piece of context to the streams currently is The Anime Marble Race, which is an ongoing event involving Joe's Twitch channel points, Monocoins. |
Stream Memes
A stream meme is any reocurring joke in Joe's streams. The streams have a huge number of reocurring jokes which originate from older streams. They are referenced constantly by both Joe and his chat, sometimes making a first-time viewing experience confusing, and necessitating the existence of this website. This category is exclusively for things that continue to be referrenced in streams of games outside of the stream series from which they originated, as a reference guide for viewers of new streams or older VoDs. This should not become just a collection of stream funny moments. |
Emotes
This category contains emotes that are currently enabled on Joe's Twitch channel, as well as ones that used to be but aren't anymore. The names of emotes on the channel have the prefix "jph". Before 2020, they had the prefix "anders6". |
Chans
A "chan" is a type of character created for Joe's streams by a fan artist. There are many such characters who often appear in fanart, and the reason why this is even the case is very complicated, so you can read about it on the Chanology page. The chans category on this wiki only includes ones which have had the same design of them drawn more than once, because otherwise there would be way too many (not including the 2022 chan recap for my own sanity). |

Voices
Sometimes Joe likes to do impressions of the voices of characters from games (or make up voices for what he thinks they should sound like). And sometimes he does these voices again in other streams. |
Joeisms
A Joeism is something which Joe says regularly that isn't actually an inside joke, but could seem like it is to someone who doesn't know. |
Discord Memes
A Discord meme is any reocurring joke in JADS. These are only referenced occasionally in streams. |
